Grievous teachings from history
It happened in 1941, when they they put my Mum, Maria Jakovlevna Wunder (Krenz), born in the Volga Region on the 28th of October 1928 (she was sixteen years old at that time) on an unheated train waggon and took her to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, to the Sukhobusimo District. There she was mobilized into the labour army. She had to work for the brickworks; in 1946 she got married to Alexander Ivanovitch Wunder.
She was released from special resettlement on the 24th January 1956.
We were a big family. On the 8th of June 1954 Mum was awarded the „Medal of Motherhood“, for she had given birth to eight children at that time – four sons and four daughters.
On the 23rd February 1956 she received the „Medal of Motherhood 1st Class”, on the 14th of April 1961 the „Medal of a Glorious Mother 3rd Class” and on the 3rd of March 1962 the „Medal of a Glorious Mother 2nd Class“.
Our Mum was also honoured and well-respected in the field of labour. For her continuous diligent labour overmany years she was rewarded with the medal „Veteran of Labour“ in 1978, the badge of a „Victim of political repressions“ in 1992, and just one year later an award, which was not handed over to her for politicaly motivated reasons – „For brilliant efforts during the years of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945“.
Our father –Alexander Ivanovich Wunder was born in the Krasnoturansk District, in the village of Nikolayevka, Krasnoyarsk Territory. He was mobilized to the labour army in a place not far from Sykovo trainstation and had to work for the brickworks. After his release in 1956 he returned to Krasnoturino District He died here in Sosnovoborsk. He was awarded the Medal „For excellent labour“ (19th of April 1967). Later, in 1957, he received the Medal „For the Exploitation of New Land“. He was also in possession of the medal of a „Winner in Socialist Competition“ (1976). Im May 1988 he was bestowed upon the title of a „Veteran of Labour“.
Our grandfather, Ivan Christianovich Wunder, born in1892, who was born and lived in the city of Omsk, was a common worker with the „Red Huntsman“ kolkhoz farm. Grandfather was indictedwithout any reason; he was accused of allegedly being an active member of a “counter-revolutionary organization“. Upon the decision of the NKVD USSR of the 23rd of May 1938 he was sentenced to maximum penalty – execution. The judgement became enforced in the city of Minusinsk on the 2nd of August 1938. Nobody knows where he was buried, but he was rehabilitated posthumously on the 20th of March 1958.
My sister Selezneva (Wunder), born in 1947, saw the light of day in Nikolayevka in Krasnoturino District. Now she is on pension and a second-degree invalid. She lives in Uyar.
I, Lidia Alexandrovna, was born in 1950. I came to Krasnoyarsk and worked there for the “Yenisey” Chemical Combine“ as a controller. Later I got married and was offered the position of a head of the club at Slobino trainstation. Afterwards I worked for the Berezovka poultry farm for more than 20 years. At the same time I studied at the agricultural technical school in the city of Rybinsk. In Sosnovoborsk I had a job as head of domestic economy in the House of the Child. At present, I am presiding the laundry there.
I have shown a lot of social activities, I was an active member of an amateur dramatic society, and as such also received a number of distinctions.
My brother Ivan Wunder, born in 1951, attended school in Krasnoyarsk and then served his time in the army. Since 1970 he has been working fir the Krasnoyarsk Thermal Power Station.
My second brother, Andrei, was born in 1953; he graduated from the technical school of mechanisation. He also served his time and afterwards left for Leninokuznetsk, to Kemerowo District. He is working as a driver at the moment.
My third brother, Alexander, born in 1955, finished the technical school of mechanisation, as well; at first he worked for a kolkhoz farm, later for a polutry farm. Sasha is now working in Berezovka as a mechanic.
