Information about the Kufeldt family
Dear Sirs!
Thank you to all staff members of the „Memorial“ Organization, and double
thanks to the creators of the website for the wearisome but excellent and
invaluable work you have done with regard to the restoration of namelists of
repressed people. It was a grievous matter to read through all these pages,
particularly those, mentioning the martirologue of entire families. This made
one recall relatives, which have already partly fallen into oblivion.
Thank you!
In the Martirologue category I found a footnote about my uncle (at least I am
quite sure that it is he who they are writing about): Arthur Arestowich Kufeld,
correctly – Arthur Ernstovich Kufeld or Arthur (son of Ernst) Kufeld, born on
the 11.09.1926 in der settlement of Krasnoyar, Canton Marxstadt, ASSR of the
Volga Germans, German; deported to the village on Nazarovo (Arafevsk village
Soviet), Birilyussy District, Krasnoyarsk Territory in 1941.
Mobilized into the trud army, to Achinsk, together with his cousin David
Davidovich Wigel on the 22.11.1942. He worked for the Chelyabinsk-40
construction project. He was released from the status of being a forced laborer
in 1957. Lived in the town of Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan till 1995. He now lives in
Germany.
Apart from him the deported to the village of Nazarowo:
- • his mother: Berta Ivanovna Kufeld, born on the 23.10.1898, German, born
in Schwed, ASSR of the Volga Germans; due to her bad state of health she
was not mobilized to the labor army. She had to get checked and registered with
the
special commandant’s office of the Birilyussy District, Krasnoyarsk Territory
until
1956. She moved to the Alma-Ata Region, Talgarsk District, Kazakhstan in 1956.She died on the 25.10.1973.
- His elder brother: Robert Ernstovich Kufeld, born on the 10.07.1924, German.
Born in the settlement Siedlung of Krasnoyar, Canton Marxstadt, ASSR of the
Volga Germans. He was deported to the village of Nazarovo (Arefevsk village
Soviet), Birilyussy District, Krasnojarsk Territory, in 1941. In January 1942 he
was
mobilized into the trudarmy, to Achinsk, together with uncle David Kasporovich
Wi(e)gel. He worked in the Altai Region, Yeleysk District, as a lumberjack. Due
to
his being ill with dysentery he was released from forced labour in the trudarmy
in
1943. After he had recovered, he was called up into the labour army again. This
time
he was assigned to work for the timber-rafting industry in the town of Kansk.
Until 1956 he had to get checked and registered with the special commandant’s
office of the Birilyussy District, Krasnoyarsk Territory. In December 1956 he
and
his wife Zoya (maiden name Ignatova) removed to Kazakhstan, to the Region of
Alma-Ata, Talgarsk District. He died on the 28.09.1981,
- And his sister Nina Ernstovna Kufeld, born on the 15.05.1928, German.
Born in the settlement of Krasnoyar, Canton Marxstadt, ASSR of the Volga-Germans. She was deported to the village of Nazarovo (Arefevsk village Soviet),
get registered with the special commandant’s office of the Birilyussy District,
Krasnoyarsk Territory. Due to her marriage with the Russian Boris Mikhailovich
Lalakov, she was no longer registered with the commandant’s office. In
December 1956 she, her husband and their two children removed to the region of
Alma-Ata, Talgarsk District. Seit 1999 she and her daughter live in Germany.
I furthermore would like to ask you for the following: in case you have more
information about the following persons or are keeping contacts with possible
descendants, please kindly keep me informed on:
- Aleksander Karlovich Kufeld, born on the 25.09.1938; as likely as not, his
father
Karl Karlovich and my great-grandfather Ivan Karlovich were brothers. Ivan
Karlovich had a biological brother, he lived in the city of Saratov on German
Street St, owned a pharmacy on the first floor of a two-storeyed house, where he
worked as a
drugmaker. His sister Emilia (Amalia) Karlovna Kufeld lived on the first floor,
as well.
- 2. Elisaveta Genrikhovna Kufeld, born in 1909; her father’s name, as well as
the year of her birth indicate that, maybe, she is the younger sister of may
grandfather Ernst Genrikhovich Kufeld.
Yours faithfully
Svetlana Verbniak
