Exile / Camp Report given by Yekaterina Barsukova (daughter of Nikolay)

On the 20.02.1931 the Communists arrested the Russian farmers Spiridon (son of Gavril) SEREBRENNIKOV (SEREBRYANNIKOV), 1850-1932, and his son Nikolay SEREBREN-NIKOV (SEREBRYANNIKOV), 1887-1933. This happened in the village of DUNGUY, MALO-KUDARINSK village Soviet, aymak of KYAKHTA (administrative district), in the BURYAT-MONGOLIAN Autonomous SSR. They took them away to KYAKHTA (TROYTSKO-SAVSK) and put them into the Troytsko-Savsk border post remand prison. They were accused of section 58-10. N. (S.) SEREBRENNIKOV was investigated by the assistant plenipotentiary representative of the border guards LOMAKO.

N. (S.) SEREBRENNIKOV did not admit his guilt. Probably his father did not admit his guilt, either.

S. (G.) SEREBRENNIKOV was released by a “Special Troyka” of the OGPU plenipotentiary representation of the East-Siberian region on the 25.03.1931. His file was closed (“for reasons of age”). However, N. (S.) SEREBRENNIKOV was sentenced to 5 years' detention in a concentration camp on section 58-10. Upon the decision of the “Regional commission of expulsion matters” of the 12.06.1931 S. (G.) SEREBRENNIKOV was deported from the village of DUNGUY in the middle of June 1931. Together with him they also deported the family of his son N. (S.) SEREBRENNIKOV:

At the same time the family of S. (G.) SEREBRENNIKOV’s eldest son was deported from DUNGUY:

The deported persons were loaded off the train at KAMARCHAGA station and transported away to the river Mana, to the “forced labour settlement” LEBYAZHE, MANA district (near M. UNGUT). There they were put under military command, having to appear for registration and period checks.

In 1932 N. (S.) SEREBRENNIKOV came back from the camp to LEBYAZHE. He became ill and died in the following year. Already at an earlier time his father had died in LEBYAZHE during the exile.

N. (S.) SEREBRENNIKOV was (posthumously) rehabilitated by the public prosecutor of the Republic of BURYATIA on the 01.06.1993.

G. (N.) SEREBRENNIKOV (SEREBRYANNIKOV) worked as a carpenter for the tractor station in M. UNGUT. They came for him on the 05.12.1937 in LEBYAZHE, transported him away to the remand prison in SHALO (district town) and from there to the prison in KRASNOYARSK. The investigator, BASTRYUKOV, from the NKVD administration arrested him. Already on the 09.12.1937 a troyka sentenced G. (N.) SEREBRENNIKOV on section 58-10 (counter-revolutionary agitation) to 8 years' camp detention. As of the 09.03.1938 he served time in the VIATLAG (VIATKA corrective labour camp). He wrote letters from there. He died of pleurisy at the VIATLAG forced labour camp sub-sector No. 3 on the 28.06.1938.

G. (N.) SEREBRENNIKOV was posthumously rehabilitated by the public prosecutor of the Krasnoyarsk region on the 27.06.1989.

D. (S.) SEREBRENNIKOV (SEREBRYANNIKOV) also worked as a carpenter in M. UNGUT. They came for him in LEBYAZHE on the 24.02.1938, took him to the remand prison and from there to the prison in KRASNOYARSK. He was sentenced by a troyka on the 21.03.1938, on section 58-10 (counter-revolutionary agitation), too, and executed in KRASNOYARSK on the 31.03.1938.

D. (S.) SEREBRENNIKOV was posthumously rehabilitated by the public prosecutor of the Krasnoyarsk region on the 07.07.1989.

In 1942 all four sons of N. (S.) SEREBRENNIKOV were released from exile and sent to the front. The remaining exiles were released after the war.

Y. (N.) SEREBRENNIKOVA (BARSIKOVA) was rehabilitated by the Krasnoyarsk Regional Administration of the Interior on the 09.09.1997, T. (N.) SEREBRENNIKOVA on the 02.12.1997.
