Early in September 1941 the Communists deported German-Russian families from ENGELS, Autonomous Republic of the Volga-Germans:
They were loaded off in KANSK and taken to the village of AGINSKOYE (center of the SAYAN district). In January 1942 they chased Andrej (A.) NUSS into the "Trud Army" (Labour Army), to the KRASLag. There he had to do gang labour in the lumbering zone. He was released in 1946 and sent back to his family in AGINSKOYE.
He and his family were released from internal exile on the 05.01.56 and rehabilitated by the Saratov UVD (Administration of Internal Affairs) on the 04.02.97.
