On the 17.03.42 the Soviets deported the German family ERHARDT from the colony of OLTSYNO, village soviet of UST-IZHORSK, district of SLUTSK, in the LENINGRAD region (situated on the river Neva, approximately 5 km North of Novosaratovka; today this territory is under municipal administration):
They were taken across the ice of the Ladoga Lake, then loaded on a train at TICHVIN station. Having headed for Kansk first, the train made a turn later and finally drove into Krasnoyarsk. The deportees had to get off the train, and in June they were taken down the Yenissey to STRELKA (at the mouth of the river Angara). When the Angara ice started melting away, they had to get in so-called ilim-boats (flat wooden boats) and were taken to the district of KEZHEMSK, where they were ordered to get off in the little village of YORMA (situated on the right bank of the river, opposite the little village of DVORYETS, not far from BOLTURINO). Some deported families came here, in order to work in the forest industry.
In 1948 the ERHARDT family was taken to BOLTURINO. J. (I.) ERHARDT lost her life, because she was at the end of his rope; the extremely hard work had been too much for her.
Her children were released from exile on the 23.01.56.
