The German family
lived in the little village of DOENHOF, canton BALZER, Autonomous Republic of the Volga-Germans. Early in the 30s they went to ENGELS, where F. SCHWARZKOPF and his wife worked as painters in the meat combine.
Early in September 1941 they were deported from the KRASNOYARSK region, disembarked in ACHINSK and were exiled to the village of ORLOVKA in the BIRILYUSSY district, Another German family was also banished to that place, but apart from that there were no further deportees (neither after the war).
F. SCHWARZKOPF was not called up into the "Trud-Army", as he was ill, as well as an invalid. He died before being released from exile.
His family stayed in ORLOVKA until the end of the exile. They were released early in 1956.
