Sometimes you will even find there scanned registration documents of German camps. These information posted on the internet are based on the archival holdings of the Ministery of Defence of the Russian Federation. Provided that you need some official statement or information, you should address yourselves to 142100 Moscow Region, Podolsk, Kirova 74, – the Central Archives of the Ministery of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Since 2003 there is a research project called „Prisoners of war and internees“. The Red Cross, the Ministry of the Interior in Berlin, the archives of the administrative center of prisoners of war and internees (Rusian Federation), the archives of the Ministry of Defense (RF) and the Ministry of the Interior (RF) are sharing an active part in this project. In line with the guidelines of this programme they are also collecting information about people who died during war captivity and are recognized of being missing without traces.
