1st historical law expedition

I would like to anticipate speech about 1st historical law expedition by some reflections about occurrence of idea of this project, his demand and, maybe, even vital necessity.

We live in city where each stone, in direct and transferred meaning, breathes a history, in city with rich cultural and historical traditions, in particular, with study of local lore or as it is pleasant to speak now in the West - regional. Whether it is museums (it is not only the Yenisei regional museum, but also a network of school museums, reviving and becoming strong museums, and arising private, departmental museums), or search and expedition groups. In the beginning of 90th years I started to introduce on the basis of high school №3 expedition form of local lore study work , I started with the following (at heart, I hesitate, but I name "it" reasonable egoism). The phrase that's been repeated about a hundred times « let's love the small native land » remain only insignificant quantity of decibels and no more. It is possible to love only that is known to you, clear, close and consequently dearly. To love the part of the Earth only because you were born there is just emotions, and it's not enough. It is important to respect, to know what one can be proud of. And then in the natural way, in my opinion, will come the desire to live on this Earth, something creating, trying to change it to the best. The social and economic situation particularly is those, that to my city where my son grows threatens to turn in the near future to city of "old men" and beating men in an alarm of church. Perhaps I'm a Siberian romantic woman… But I must influence on a situation by transformation of local lore study into love to the region and I think that I can do it.

Continuation of this work on the basis of historical branch of the Yenisei pedagogical school has brought to me a number of new problems. The resolution of these problems would allow the future historians to involve the new data "from below", to focus for itself a point of historical view, to choose new directions for researches by work on expedition, by fixing of an oral history. And the pedagogical labour market of the Yenisei region feels necessity of such experts. Basically, work on expedition is an active way of penetration into a subject and penetrations of a subject into soul. It is essentially important for historians that field work under the direction of the expert - chairman of Krasnoyarsk historical law society "Memorial" A.A.Babiy promoted strengthening of professional skills, legal and civil formation of guys. Expedition is a part of the project in which there are 3 stages:

I Introduction in a subject;
II expeditions;
III analytical (representation of results).

At the first stage there is an extensive expansion of educational space. Work in a museum, in an archive is directed on search of the available data about a disposition place, a political situation of given time, any data mentions (documentary) about presence in Yartsevo of residents, the persons who are under supervision. At the same stage theoretical preparation was carried out (Reprisal 1920-1950, orientation of it, features of reprisals in Krasnoyarsk region etc.).

II stage - expeditions or intensive expansion of educational and historical space. Here we shall describe in details.

Character of expedition was defined by specific goals:

  1. Pedagogical (expedition) students practice of historical branch EPU on a theme « Fixing of an oral history connected to political reprisals of 1920-1950 in Yartsevo »
  2. Rendering of law support for subjected to repression.
  3. The practical help to this category of persons.

For realization of the purposes the following problems have been determined and solved:

  1. Practical skills of oral history record .
  2. Carrying out group and individual consultations about realization of laws on rehabilitation of political reprisals victims
  3. Monitoring of social conditions subjected to repression.
  4. Household help for subjected to repression.
  5. Cultural - educational activity.

How productive was an expedition?

  1. Persons with the status of victims of political reprisals are determined (more detailed on a web site "Memorial")
  2. Circumstances of stay in the deportation, conditions of a life and so on are written down by subjected to repression.
  3. The archive of audio, video and a photo records of an oral history is made.
  4. Group and individual consultations are rendered to victims of political reprisals.
  5. Help on housekeeping is rendered to Kaloshiny family (victims of political reprisals).
  6. Excursions in Nikulino and Krivlyak are accomplished with the purpose of studying of local lore work.
  7. The artefacts confirming presence of camps in area of Krivlyak are found.
  8. Contact with regional specialist Yartsevo Tarhanovoj T.N. is established. In a result the material for I part of the book about victims of political reprisals memory of Krasnoyarsk region is prepared (October, 2004)

Forecasts:

  1. The publication of expedition materials in the web-site of the Krasnoyarsk society "Memorial" (in Russian and German languages)
  2. Updating of Yenisei state archive funds, Yenisei regional museum funds.
  3. The creative report about results of pedagogical (expedition) practice.
  4. Release of the almanac « It is histories » (on results of expedition work).
  5. Transfer to museum funds of exhibits showing a history of political reprisals in Yeniseisk region.
  6. Propagation of creation experience of the youth groups rendering assistance subjected to repression, and the organization of similar expeditions.
  7. Preparation and release of methodical editions about record of an oral history on a theme « Political reprisals ».

As to the forecasts mentioned above they were embodied in a real, quite tangible results.

Whether such forms of an oral history fixing are necessary? How they are effective it is possible to judge not only by results submitted above, but also on essays of expedition participants:

Lubov Alekseenko: « I like our expedition very much, it was very cognitive for me. I have learned to interview, communicate with unfamiliar people. I think that that part of our group which has chosen this kind of practice became much more rallied, more amicably and friendly. We overcame difficulties together, we were pleased to the first successes. Here I have learned to forgive people, not to conceal insult, to understand people better. Doesn't matter who you are and only matters what is inside of you. In fact the main thing is to be, instead of to seem».

Galina Ponomareva: « This expedition has learned me so much. I have learned to notice other peoples opinion, to speak about my own points of view and at the same time not to impose them to others. Communicating with people subjected to repression, I have looked at this "piece" of a history completely on the other hand. Sights of various people at the same events, the various points of view - all this causes in me desire to learn as much as possible about years of reprisals».

Oksana Pomolova: « I became more sociable, more close to details, to the facts and it is necessary for the future historian. And I was more convinced that people should be estimated on they mind ».

George Tashhodzhaev: « I have quite realized sense of a proverb: "You can get anywhere if you know how to use your tongue". Vital histories of our respondents have changed my sights at such things as love, work and patience ».

Ivan Bobylev: « I liked work as a command not at once... I have learned not to pay attention to little insults, to forgive much faster, than earlier ».

Vladislav Moiseyev: « I have felt lack of validity in our society not only within reprisals. And also now when these people don't receive a privilege under the law in time. It appears that it's very difficult to lead and issue interview qualitatively. And all this knowledge gave us A.A. Babiy ».
