Exile / Camp report given by Viktoria Johannesovna Anyanova

Viktoria Johannesovna’s family lived in the village of GRIMM, canton KAMENKA, ASSR of the VOLGA-GERMANS. They were deported on the 18.09.1941:

They all had to get off the train at TINSKYA station, NIZHNEINGASHSK district, KRASNOYARSK Territory. The exiles were taken to the different district villages by hay carts. The GOPPE family was exiled to the village of KUCHEROVKA (KUCHEROVO). In the spring of 1942 they were driven to the north, to a place called TURA, EVENK National Region, situated on the banks of the river Nizhnaya Tunguska. During the summer they had to work for the fishery kolkhoz in the settlement of NIDYMKAN, not far from TURA. In the winter the returned to TURA. Oskar GOPPE at first worked for the fish canning factory, later as a musician for the movie theater. After 1945 he was assigned director of the club.

At the very end of their exile, after 1954, the family was allowed to move from Evenkia to Yeniseysk. They were written off the lists of the commandant’s office on the 10.02.1956.

The elder sister, Gerta Johannesovna GOPPE (born 1919) and her mother live in Novosibirsk. She worked as a teacher in PALLASOVKA, ASSR of the VOLGA-GERMANS and was later exiled to the ALTAI Region. Her family only learned about her whereabouts in the 1950s.
