Exile / Camp Report given by Yekaterina Maximovna Beltyukova

Early in July 1931 the Soviets deported the SHILOV family (farmers) from the village of DERBINO, DAURSKOYE district (on the right banks of the river Yenissey, which today is a submerged area):

Already at an earlier time, in the spring of 1931, the Communists had taken away their house and made it available to the village Soviet. Together with the SHILOVs they also deported some other farmers' families, among them:

They were all sent to the district town of DAURSKOYE, where they were loaded on board a steamship on the 12.07.1931. The exiles were set on land in the settlement of VOROGOVO, today district of TURUKHANSK (in the 1930s and 1940s district of YARTSEVO), and forced to stay in the settlement, which was situated near a bigger village.

In the following summer, in 1932, 5 or 6 families, among them the SHILOVs and the TRIFONOVs, were taken away to the village of OSINOVO, 40 km downstream from VOROGOVO, at the right banks of the river Yenissey. The village consisted of about 40 farms.

One of the families sent away to OSINOVO was a farmer's family from the village of UST-DERBINO, district of DAURSKOYE (which is also a submerged area today):

as well as a farmer's family from the village of IZAGASH, district of DAURSKOYE (also a submerged area today):

In 1934 M. (G.) SHILOV received a letter "from Kalinin", from the Supreme Soviet, confirming the "restoration of his rights", and soon afterwards he was also issued a passport.

One day, however, commandant KAPITONOV arrived from Yartsevo (which was the district town at that time) and confiscated the passport again. And thus Maxim (son of Georgiy) was forced to appear for registration and periodic checks at the commandant's office until the year 1946.
