Exile / Camp Report given by Maria Ivanovna Bessolenko

In 1930 the Soviets deported the Belorussian family LAPA (farmers) from the village of KARLYK, AGINSK district (today SAYAN district), SIBIRIAN region (at the foot of the Mansk mountain ridge, not far from Malinovka):

They were exiled to the IVANOVSKA mine in the PARTISANSK district. Later they lived in exile at the river Mana (possibly in Vilistiy), however, in the middle of the 1930s the whole family was sent to the village of USPENSKA, in the west of the RYBINSK district, were they also had to appear at the commandant's office for registration and periodic checks. In 1942

I. (U.) LAPA was called up from Uspenska into the labour army. He fell at the front. His family was released from exile during the war.
