Exile/Camp Report given by Ida Friedrichovna Rysseva

On 30.09.41 the Communists deported the MONS family from the town of ENGELS in the ASSR NP (Autonomous Republic of the Volga-Germans):

F. MONS was born in Marxstadt. He had a job as an economist in the People's Commissariate of Finance of the Autonomous Republic of the Volga Germans and lived with his family in a house of his own in the Red Army Street No. 44a.

He was taken into exile on the 1st wagon of train No. 824 and had to get off in the village of NIKOLSK, SHARPOV district, Autonomous Region of Khakassia (not far from Dubinino).

In NIKOLSK F. MONS worked as a bookkeeper on the Voroshilov kolkhoz farm. In 1942-1943 they forced him into the "Trud-Army" three times altogether; however, the head of the kolkhoz every time succeeded in calling him back from the district town to NIKOLSK.

In June 1946 F. MONS was transferred to the regional department of finance and moved with his family to KRASNOYARSK (Markovskiy Street). He was appointed auditor, with a firm employment at the regional department of finance.

Once, in August 1949, they sent him to the Stalino district department of finance, in his function as inspector, and half a year later he was once again promoted and appointed senior inspector of the municipal department of finance. Nevertheless he was dismissed from his job in August 1951 and transferred as senior bookkeeper to the SibLTI (Sibirian Institute of Forestry Technics).

The entire family was released from exile on 16.01.56. They all stayed and lived in Krasnoyarsk. Later, F. MONS got a job as bookkeeper and auditor in the administration of the Krasnoyarsk Railroad Company (KShD), as well as in the Krasnoyarsk branch of the KShD.

F. MONS, his wife and daughters were rehabilitated on 23.08.99 by the Information Center of the Saratov regional UVD (Administration of Internal Affairs).
